Polling Day - It's Lib Dem or Labour in Cambridge

May 5, 2005 1:02 AM

Polling Day is here, and it's neck-and-neck between the Lib Dems and Tony Blair's Labour Party in Cambridge. David Howarth is seeking to win the seat, building on local Lib Dem success on Cambridge City Council and an election campaign during which support has grown steadily for Liberal Democrats, both locally and nationally. The Tories are in a distant third place.

And it's also local election day, with Cambridgehire's County Council seats being contested. You can find full details of the Liberal Democrat plans for Cambridgeshire in our local manifesto -- see the "Download Area" of this site (menu to the left).

Voting is from 7am to 10pm. It may speed the process a little if you take your polling card with you, but this is not a requirement -- all that you need to do is go to the correct polling station and provide your name and address.

If you would like to help the Liberal Democrats on election day, or require a lift to the poll, please contact our Victoria Road office on 01223 356362.
