Relief as bus stops in Trumpington saved

Lib Dem County Councillor for Trumpington Anne Kent is relieved that Park and Ride stops in Trumpington will not be cut in a review of Cambridge's Park and Ride service.
From 20th May Park and Ride services will no longer stop at some stops around the city but the Trumpington route will remain unchanged.
Councillor Kent commented:
"I am very relieved that the Trumpington bus stops have not been cut in this exercise.

"Local residents, particularly the elderly residents of Denis Wilson Court in Porson Road, mounted a successful campaign to get Park and Ride buses to stop at Porson Road and it would have been a disaster to lose it. Nearly all the buses from Trumpington into the city go via Addenbrookes, leaving this stretch of road with very few buses and so we rely on being able to use the Park and Ride bus."
