Lib Dems join forces with Cam-Mind for charity event - Howarth

David Howarth MP and Mayor of Cambridge Mike Dixon are joining forces with Cam-Mind to raise awareness for mental health issues.
Mr Howarth and Councillor Dixon will attend the On-Footse mile race organised by Cam-Mind Sunday June 22nd. Mr Howarth will launch the event and Mayor Dixon will present the trophies to the fastest runners.
Mr Howarth commented:
"Cam-Mind is doing an amazing job for people suffering from mental health issues. I'm honored they asked me to help and I hope the event will be a great success.
"There is much more that needs to be done to raise awareness and helping people on a daily basis and I'm very grateful to Cam-Mind for their wonderful actions and programmes.
"Too many people are still afraid of mental health illnesses or don't understand the gravity of these issues. As a result, mental health patients can feel utterly alone and misunderstood. I'm confident that this event will prompt people to dedicate time and energy to help them."
