David Howarth joins Fireman Sam and fire fighters at the charity coffee morning
Cambridge MP David Howarth joined the city's fire fighters today (Friday) to raise money for a leading cancer charity.
Mr Howarth went along to the Cambridge Fire Station for a coffee morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
The event, which included an impressive spread of home-made cakes, was part of the annual World's Biggest Coffee Morning which raises money to allow the charity to continue its work supporting cancer patients.
Nurses and specialist health care professionals are funded by the charity which also raises money to buy cancer care centres.
Mr Howarth said: "I was delighted to support this excellent event. There had obviously been a great deal of hard work behind the scenes and the home-made cakes were very tempting."
