"Breathtaking incompetence" puts public at risk

David Howarth, MP for Cambridge, has described the Home Office as "breathtakingly incompetent" following revelations that criminals who committed serious crimes abroad may have been cleared to work with children and other vulnerable people.

"This is yet another example of the Home Office's breathtaking incompetence. They have put the public at unnecessary risk. We need an urgent statement from the Home Secretary to reassure the public that the situation will be resolved immediately."
