Lucy Nethsingha - Newnham
Lucy Nethsingha has been standing up for liberal values in Newnham since 2009 - as our local councillor, as leader of the County Council and as an anti-brexit MEP.
This year alone, Lucy’s Lib Dem-led County Council has:
• Invested in fixing our roads, starting to tackle years of Conservative decline.
• Supported vulnerable families struggling with the cost of living crisis by continuing to fund meal vouchers.
• Injected £57m into adult and children’s social care.
Lucy says, “Having raised my family locally, cycling my children to school at Newnham Croft for many years, I am passionate about fighting for the next generation of young families in our local community.”
“Whether that is fighting for safer routes for cycling and walking, better public transport or ensuring our most vulnerable children still have access to free school meals when they have been abandoned by the government.”
“If re-elected as your city councillor, I fight for a fair deal for Newnham residents.”
