Rory Clark - Castle

Rory Clark has been selected as the Lib Dem Candidate for Castle Division in this May’s County elections.

Rory grew up in Castle and has lived on Sherlock Road for most of his life. He cares passionately for our area.  During the Covid-19 Pandemic he helped support local residents by co-creating a mutual support network for his neighbours on ‘The Square’. He attends St Augustine’s church on Windsor Road. 

Rory is passionate about sustainability and is currently researching the impact of sustainability focused policies, with a view to working on the management of natural disasters in the future.  He has recently returned from a year studying in Canada, where he focused on different countries’ approaches to managing the climate emergency. 

In his spare time Rory enjoys music, he plays the French Horn and Double bass, and at university he was a conductor and the director of a Concert Band.  

Rory says “If elected, I will work with Cllr Cheney Payne and the Lib Dems to fight for a fair deal for Castle residents on the county council.”
