Cambridge Liberal Democrat councillors succeeded last night in winning cross party backing from Cambridge City Council in the fight to keep the city’s sole dedicated post office on St. Andrew’s Street.
Responding to today's news that Cambridge’s city centre post office is one of the 115 branches that the Post Office proposes to close, Lib Dem City Centre councillor Tim Bick said:
